Imagination VS reality

Holiday begun last Thursday for my case and reached Penang on that evening. Driving home is the happiest thing happened on me within the duration of me left home, though it had been three years since I first drive home. Well, I guess you won’t get sick over things you enjoy to do very much. As usual, before the heaven comes, you have to experience the hell first. What I try to mean is I often have something serious to overcome before the holiday. Last Wednesday I had to sit for 421 test. FYI, 421 is the code of a course. From the beginning, salt&vinegar is a place for me to speak out my thoughts therefore blame me not if I say something harsh.

When this semester starts, many of the lecturers and program coordinator told undergraduates that syllabus would be changing. Everything well still as we have mentally prepare for the tough upcoming studies. Then we assumed that we’ll be exposed to the new style of test or examination as this is what the school do always. However something different happened. Our test paper is something we had never seen before. No, I should say it’s so much different than what we see before. So, what are students’ responses while sitting for the test? Curse and swear of course. On top of that, to make things worse, we only have one and a half hour to solve all three questions. Read the questions have occupied five minutes from our total time. That doesn’t include understanding the questions. Lecturers really thought we, students are all mighty. We have to allocate much time to solve question three which it required newton-raphson method to solve the question. Mind you, a normal person would usually take at least thirty minutes to settle that questions as we have to derive equations to suit the questions. Oh ya, the lecturer allow us to open book for the test but may I say that most of the candidates doesn’t finish the paper? I’m seeing hell again. Ok, promise fulfilled and let’s forget the unhappy things. Not much we can do anyway right?

What’s for breakfast?

Like people say, you may skip lunch, you may skip dinner, but do not skip breakfast. And having great breakfast in the morning brings you a great start for the day. For your information, breakfast refers to the first meal of the day, consumed in the morning. Holding the meaning of fasting since previous day’s last meal, contributes why breakfast is a compound of ‘break’ and ‘fast’. So, what makes breakfast so important? Generally breakfast is the first meal and dinner is the last meal of the day for most people. This typical routine has caused the glucose (sugar) level in blood to reduce quite drastically as soon as you wake up from slumber. Most probably it is due to no food intake for 8 to 12 hours. Therefore breakfast is where you get to resupply glucose level and keep you energetic for the day.

Different culture and living environment encourage people have different styles of breakfast. Then what would be the better choice for breakfast menu? Well, in order to get satisfying breakfast to keep you full and active throughout all day, you definitely need some good carbohydrate, protein, fiber, vitamins with something that is low in fat. For those who skip breakfast are likely to have problems with concentration, metabolism and weight. Actually, it won’t take you much time to prepare a nice breakfast to pamper yourself. A warm glass of milk with bread sounds perfect for me. Or better, take some time to have cereals with bread, wouldn't that sounds nice? Do not have the concept of instead of wasting time make breakfast might as well I sleep longer since I’m tired. To me, that’s so wrong. I agreed that most people out there have some difficulties to wake up but believe me, it only takes awhile. Once you drag yourself to the bathroom, you’re half way there to get yourself awake. Clean yourself and you’re ready to charge day with a great set of breakfast. I don’t know how effective is this to you but it is definitely effective to me. If the above method don't suit you, then prepare to grab a cereal bar while you’re on the move. LOL.

So, did you get yourself a set of great breakfast today? I did. Bread plus bird nest. LOL. This may sound weird but the combination contains carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, fiber and low fat. This is all I need to start off my day. (^-^)

Thaipusam Celebration in Penang

It all begins with laziness plus some intention to skip class yesterday. Laid down while watching drama, I planned not to attend class. Due to certain incident, my desire grew more and decision made, skip class. Few minutes later, after some incidents which I don’t think it’s necessary for me to write down, a few friends and I head down to Penang. Reason? Celebrate Thaipusam of course!

The world knows that Malaysia is a multiracial country. Good thing for living in such country is get to experience other races’ celebration. In Penang, Thaipusam to be consider one of the few big celebrations listed. I have never been to one on my own for the past of 20 years and yesterday along with my friends we feted like nobody’s business. What’s more, the decoration cum performance deserves big thumbs up from all of us.

Thaipusam actually celebrates the birthday of the Hindu deity Subramaniam. From what i understand, on this occasion, devotees show the sincerity of their faith by making sacrifices to the GOD. They gave out free foods to public. No matter who are you, what condition you’re in, you may join the crowd and take part in the celebrations. Let pictures do all the story telling.

We too, climbed all the stairways bare feet to make our way to the Hilltop Waterfall Temple, just like other devotees for blessing. They have tradition to rung the bell before we head down so we rung three times each. Later on, we visited another temple nearby. According to my friend, the temple is a bit different than the previous one. Therefore, we’re there and indeed it is different. The design is really unique and captivating. There we saw a Ratham, fully made of pure silver. The glittering lights and shine of the silver body made our eyes stared at it for quite some time. My friend said there are certain places in India has Ratham fully made of pure gold. How cool is that?
Then, we heard noises here and there. We looked around and guess what we saw, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng. This is the second time I met him within a short distance.

(It took me a lot of time to write this post. In fact, I attempted twice to get this post to be posted successfully. And I made it on the third time. The line in my university sucks to the max. I had done writing and describing everything in details but thanks to the line, I can’t post it smoothly and the error page pop out. After pressing the back button, EVERYTHING was GONE! The finished, well completed post is GONE!)

TVXQ JYJ

It took me some time to listen to tvxq’s new album. FYI, tvxq now refers to Yunho and Changmin, without Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. If you wish to know what happen then, ask my friend, Google. While listening to Why (keep your head down), I had this ‘miss’ feeling. Naturally I felt something missing there. Glance through, I thought I miss the combination of voices that once I got addicted to, voices that once I fell in love with and voices that still I think is the best now. I gave myself a chance to search for the better. Therefore I search everywhere, within that duration I did not listen to any tvxq member song for the whole period they separated, even though they have new songs released. Recently, due to Sungkyunkwan scandal and why (keep your head down), I have myself listen to the five once again. Never they failed to touch my fragile heart. To me, they are indeed irreplaceable. Now I realized what lacks aren’t merely some voices but the feel. The warmth they used to deliver, the happiness they used to bring Cassiopeia and the spirit they used to convey as five, are irreplaceable. For now, I only wish the five to return as one again.

HOW CAN I…..FOUND YOU

生田斗真? 誰?

Hanazakari no kimitachi e
Have been contributing most of my time watching movies, J-drama and hanging around doing nothing. Into some game yesterday leaving body aches today. Finished a J-drama and three movies in 2 days, with some activities in between. Hanazakari no Kimitachi e a.k.a Hanakimi, got me stucked with Nakatsu Shuichi, whose real name is Ikuta Toma. That guy is interesting. Wishing to have such person around me too. Then shocked to find out that he’s in honey and clover too. Guess who he is in HnC. Yup. He’s Takemoto-kun! I’m so right about it. I was afraid to watch HnC in drama then I don’t want to see Morita’s real impression ruined by some guys. Now, it ease me a lil to know that Toma-san is Takemoto-kun. Anticipating.
Now I found myself a new project. Hachimitsu to Clover, I’m coming!

As for movies, Home alone glued me to lappie for 6 hours. Watched home alone 1,2 and 3 in a go really makes you compare which is a better movie. Home alone 3, my fav of all times. No doubt that the kids are really cool but somehow Kevin doesn’t attract me much. Perhaps the quality of the film to blame. Alex is a much luckier kid then. Rofl~

……..

Ah~ I think I’ll be disappointed with Morita (the human). Sigh

Future part 2

Yo~
Here I am again, resuming on what I want to write about honey and clover (H&C).  Previously I wrote was something that I figured out by watching H&C. This is the latter part of the post, about what’s inside H&C inspires me of many ways to look into life.
To those who lost in finding their future,
“To be able to find people who need you and to continue to answer to their needs is how you are going to find a place for yourself in the future.”
(Problem is how should I find? Think hard nic! =.=)
The fact of I’m afraid of growing up lead to me dislike changes at young age. However Hanamoto sensei said something that ease my feelings. According to him, “it’s true that you get shocked if things take a sudden turn but that’s also refreshing, if you think about it.”
(sensei arigatou!)

Future

Have you wonder why human grows? Why must we grow up? Did you enjoy the process of growing up? Nature says all living things have to grow. Growing up is essential in life. Do you come across such thing as afraid to grow up? Afraid to have commitment and have future you hold go wild?

Questions above just pop in my brain each time I watch honey and clover. FYI, honey and clover tell stories revolving a bunch of art college students, about life in hostel, relationships and things that encourage them to move towards their goal. Every step they took, creating their own success through many ways often make me jealous. It is not easy to have your mind set to what you want and work hard to achieve it. One more thing for them to juggle is friendship. Morita Shinobu, Mayama Takumi, Takemoto Yuuta, Yamada Ayumi, Hanamoto Hagumi and Hanamoto Shuuji sensei, they always gather around and have limitless support towards all. All was perfect. Then there comes effect of growing up. Relationships become complicated, feelings developed among each other, and they started to part ways, worrying one will left out another. As expected, growing up is complicated process. And frankly speaking, I am afraid of growing up.
