the night before..

0.o! Penang as smoke-free state? (clap clap)
The idea above is good indeed. If this could be carry out successfully, that really makes Penang a cleaner, healthier and less-polluted state. (The Star, 28th Sept 2010)
I came across the news above while we’re having early dinner celebration with one of my friend in university. Looked back on the things we have done that night, the theme of the night is laugh-til-we-golek. To achieve that, we have been discussing our personal opinions towards politic, social, economy and food of course. Not to forget, the fairytale of ‘mushroom and monk’. In short, it was a fantastic, joyful, lovable and calming night.

Once we got our seats, monkey acts have begun..

O? Dinner is here. Revealing the menu for the night:

For cy - spagh….? Opps..! (my mistake)

Reattempt: spaghetti meatball with hot milk. (So healthy)

For Tian - grilled black pepper chicken with espresso. (coffee addict >,<'')

As for me, dory fillet with lobster sauce (something like that) with grapetiser. (nice bottle right?)

For dessert, high-fiber cheese cake! (omg! Full!)

After food, why not try showing off some photography skills?

…….

Errr..ok, we have no solid skills. Haih, back to gossip! Pssttt..bla bla bla..!
That's our night! What a lovable get-to-gather! hahahahahaha..
Last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YIYI! xxx

unexpected present

This has been driving me crazy, the pain on my back known as backache. I’m in pain since days ago n here it is, getting worse. It’s from my old injury therefore I can’t do anything about it. I need rest yet I’m not resting much recently. With a thesis on hand, there’s no way I’ll get to relax until it is done.

By the way, I would like to thank those who reads and supports my blog. Something surprised me when I viewed the statistic of salt&vinegar. I couldn’t imagine the situation where, other than Malaysian, the numbers of reader I have most are based in US. Although I knew clearly in mind that they just dropped by for a post or two, yet they have my gratitude still, not knowing who are those people actually. ==
I don’t generate traffic and salt&vinegar was held in private status until months ago so those actions leaves impact on the not-so-good-looking figure for total number of page views. However I don’t expect that figure to appear in the statistic at all. It is still too much to me. (blush)
stats of salt&vinegar (with curiosity) ^^

truth?

I like, I want and I must have. Don’t bother to understand what I am talking about. This shows that the little brain of mine has gone crazy. Not knowing why, suddenly I speak nonsense. You may say I’m bored up to certain level, longing for someone who I don’t even have a chance in my entire life (yeah, I mean jonghyun), dreaming about starting a new life in U.K, owning my favorite gadget, getting a best bud (dog), etc. As you can see, I want many things, I hope for miracles to happen often, but sad to say I don’t have a must-achieved goal to accomplish. The things I listed, isn’t something I want badly. During high school, many had make up their mind on what should they do, which path should they take or at least, what do they like. I am the extraordinary case. I don’t know what I want, I don’t know what I like and I don’t know what I’m good at. When I was asked to make decision, I always said, engineer perhaps. That’s not my thought but my mom’s. Since my examination results unable to cheer her up, I followed her advice. After all, I am a person with no ambition and no realistic dream to fulfill. So here I am today. Gosh, I sound pathetic.

SnapIt Screen Capture 3.7

SnapIt Screen Capture version 3.7
Press, Click, Drag and Done. Only three steps I got what I want and where I want them to be. Sorry if I confused everyone. Again, I found out a cool product from Digeus Inc., SnapIt Screen Capture 3.7. SnapIt can be considered as a program that summarized the action of print screen, paste, crop and export, just to get a picture on screen. For a student like me, I often run programs on computer, quietly waits for the graphs to appear. When that happens, I’ll do the print screen thing to get the data, crop the unnecessary part and lastly include the final product in my report. The whole process takes up quite some time and I found it troublesome. From now onwards I may have what I want in seconds. No more windows jamming taskbar. Plus you may select what type of file you wish to produce as SnapIt save files in BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF formats. Convenient enough?
However there are minimal system requirements to fulfill for this wonderful product to work which it runs on Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT/XP/2000/2003/Vista installed and configured on your system and Microsoft Framework 2.0.

Why don’t try it yourself and see the miracle with your own eyes?
Here’s the link for the free trial product: http://digeus.com/downloads/snapit/files/3/snapit_3_7.exe
For more information about SnapIt, click here!

By the way, giveaway up for grabs for those who create a review in any blog/forum/twitter/facebook etc, and contact Ms JuliaTaylor with link to the review, she will issue a registration code and name for you. You may write it in any language and a minimum of 100 words required. Best of luck, people!

Bojobo dolls

bojobo dolls
What I am going to tell is the story of the weird looking dolls hanging in my car. All along I’ve been told that the gift from Saipan islands bring luck in love to the owner. Yesterday while I was cleaning, (yes, I am still cleaning after a week >,<) I found the card attached to the dolls when they were passed to me long ago. All the mist were cleared after I read the card. The dolls are actually Bojobo lucky dolls. This is what written in the card entitled Legend of the Saipan’s Bojobo Lucky Dolls, “my brother and I are the Bojobo. Long ago till this day we live in secrecy in the vines of Bojobo. Love, strength and riches (money) are our powers. Having faith in us can make you have it all. Cross our legs if you want our love, fold our arms for strength and tie our hands behind our back for riches (money). And once again, have faith. Hang us in a special place in your home where you can always see us. Remember, in our eyes, you’ll find love. Our Bojobo nuts give you our strength and coconut fibers which bond our arms and legs are for riches (money).” At the back of the card stated, made in Saipan. To those who don’t know where are Saipan island, it is located in USA. How did the place look like? Maybe I should start to plan a trip to Japan and from there to Saipan.

loner

Everyone knows that university students will have two weeks of break. To me, this break is equivalent to disaster. It is full of worries and illness. Within this break, slowly I turned into a loner, a complete loner. I want to be alone. I hope to be alone to such extend where I could just go through my life without communicating with anyone, not even a person. If I am given a chance to not to communicate yet I am able to live life smoothly, I bet I’ll be much happier. Don’t be shock, and I’m not trying to get any attention. I am an introvert person to begin with. I don’t like to social. I dislike noisy places. I find no reason for communicating except to get things done smoothly. I don’t even have mood to write post now. I need a vacation. Is there any city/town that exiles me from the crowd exist, I wonder?

0913

No matter how many times I watch ‘Fly me to Polaris’, I’ll end up cry like mad. Or at least drop tears, unstoppable for many seconds or minutes. The meaning and feeling it carries never fail to touch my heart, repeatedly. My sister teased me asking that’s the movie is old, how come I’m that loyal to it? Perhaps I love the way the movie touches my heart again and again without fail. I knew the story isn’t true but everyone has their own imagination. This is what I imagine and acknowledge as the greatest love ever. It is human’s nature to believe, insist and think that illogic things are better than the facts, reality we see. I admire the sight of ‘onion’ have towards the world. Quoted from the movie, “hold what you have, now or in the future, even if it slips away, you won’t have regret in this life”. Well it is not really a quotation, I amended it a little. I can never hold my tears back after listened to his last words and the song. Did you agree with the lead actress’s thought, meteor shower is the tears of the sky?

Another day to meet those renovators. I don’t like to meet them or deal with them on my own. I hate it but I can’t avoid my fate. I have to help out since it’s my duty as the part of the family. Sigh~

a weak heart

“Does your love life need a wake-up call?” a quote from the book I am reading now. I find this phrase is interesting. Titled ‘A Romantic Getaway’ by Sarah Monk, part of the little black dress series, the story written inside made me relax after all the work caused me craving for dolorifuge. Although I did not work much like how the rest worked but the pain born within me drives me crazy. I’m really sorry for the few jobs I did, sorry for being weak. The pain others felt were muscle and joint pain after the hard work but the pain I felt was from my health. I can’t be active now. Weakling is what I am now, sad to say.

fake prank =='''

My nieces keep telling me they will visit the funfair, reminded me what happened four years back in Genting. Recalling those events, my friends and I planned out the trip for the first time and our choice, Genting Highlands. Therefore up we went to the highland, stayed in first world resort. Back in school, we often speaks horror stories took place in hotels, which actions should we do before we enter hotel and what should we watch out when we’re in the hotel. Since that was the first time we went holiday on our own, we tried to take most of the ‘precaution steps’, knocked on the door before entering, put coins and tell the purpose of us being there, turn on the tap, check the furniture with door opened, etc. For both rooms we did all the things we heard. While all of us gather in the same room, we turned off the lights of the other room, something odd happened. The next room was all dark. It was during the day therefore only with the curtains closed will darken the room. But who? All who present denied. We looked at each other, making sure that no one play prank on others by going through the expression on our faces. Yet no one looked suspicious. Then our mind went to the uninvited guest. Slowly we took a peep into the room, searching for any ‘suspicious’ thing with our body bent a little, hid behind the door that connects both rooms. Suddenly, I stood up straight. “ah! I forgot, I’m the one who closed all the curtains as it was glaring outside,” I said while reopen the curtains. What followed is the scene I got beaten up by them. I don’t mean to play any prank. It was a great trip though. How I wish the casts will gather again for another trip. Miss those days.

first week

I’ve done what I wanted to do to my hair yet I don’t think I like it much. At first thought I will like my new look. It turns out that I prefer getting a haircut than what I have now. You may say I’m boyish, I like it that way. I looked cool, perhaps. Now, I look somehow girly than usual. That left me speechless. What’s interesting, my aunt insisted that I look way much better with short hair speaks her mind before I went for hairdo but after my hairdo, the way she looks at me and smiles a type satisfaction, indicates that she likes my new hairdo. I’m confused. Is my image ok, I wonder?
Back in PG, the war has just begun. Help mom to settle matters within house, I started to see stars. Hope all the effort I do will help to bring forward the date to move back into my house. Keep my fingers crossed. My time within this week is fully booked by now. Monday as nanny, Tuesday as OA, Wednesday as butler, Thursday and Friday as cleaner, Saturday as painter and Sunday as myself. What a busy week. ==|||
